Since 2016, Victorinox has aligned the entire discipline of watchmaking under one roof at its 17,800-square-metre Watch Competence Centre in Delémont, in the Swiss Jura — the spiritual home of horology.

Here, over two hundred Swiss specialists design, prototype, manufacture, assemble and test every Victorinox watch. From bezels and cases to movement integration and final assembly, everything happens in-house — ensuring that quality is not outsourced but owned.

The origins of Victorinox date back to 1884, when Karl Elsener opened a knifemaking workshop in a village in central Switzerland. Elsener delivered his first soldier’s knife to the Swiss Army in 1891. Six years later, he created the Swiss Officer’s and Sports Knife – now known as the original Swiss Army Knife – which would lay the foundation for a thriving global company.
