IIMA Students Predict Bright Future for EVs in India’s 2-Wheeler Market

The research team comprises four students with diverse professional backgrounds:

Paurik Trivedi (Associated with MATTER MOTORS WORKS, an EV two-wheeler based in Ahmedabad)Mansi Srivastava (An employee of Lucknow-based Prenit World.), Kushal Mehta (Works with Asahi Kasei, a Japanese multinational),  Jason Miranda (Works with M&G global services)

Among the standout contributors to the study is Paurik Trivedi, a team member with significant ties to MATTER MOTORS, a forward-thinking startup revolutionizing India’s EV two-wheeler industry. MATTER has introduced the AERA, a groundbreaking EV bike that is setting new benchmarks in design, technology, and sustainability. This bike encapsulates the future of mobility, blending advanced performance capabilities with eco-friendly innovations.

The AERA5000, with its innovative energy-efficient technology, has been specifically designed to address the diverse needs of urban and semi-urban commuters. It features:

• Smart connectivity features enabling real-time data monitoring and updates.
• Enhanced riding dynamics tailored to Indian road conditions.

In their presentation, the students highlighted how EVs are creating innovative future experiences through technology, delivering significant cost benefit and environmental preservation. Furthermore, the environmental benefits of adopting EVs in the two-wheeler market could play a critical role in reducing carbon emissions, making the switch to EVs a win-win for both consumers and the environment.

Their comprehensive study and presentation make a strong case for EVs being the future of the automotive sector in India. By leveraging advanced analytics, the team demonstrated how the adoption of EVs in the two-wheeler space could serve as a cornerstone for India’s sustainable development goals.

Prof. Arnab Kumar Laha commended the group for their diligent work, stating, “The research provides valuable insights into how the automotive industry can adapt to changing consumer preferences and environmental priorities.
