Cochin-Based Bestselling Author – Husna Launches Latest Novel ‘Red River Rising’

‘Red River Rising’ follows the nationwide success of the author’s previous books ‘My Lyrical Symphony’, ‘Saudade’, and ‘Zikr’ – an anthology of poetic incantations. The book has already been creating ripples on book charts across India due to its unique and compelling plot. Within just days of its release, the book has been topping charts in the Thrillers & Suspense category. 

Speaking on the launch of her latest book, the author, Husna, said – “It gives me immense pleasure to be launching my latest book,‘ Red River Rising’. ‘Red River Rising’ is an eclectic mix of genres put together by the Cochin-based author. The main storyline revolves around the horrific Kerala floods of 2018; and five characters who are affected by the overflowing Periyar river and whose lives become inexplicably entwined. The book includes themes of love, loss, treachery, and politics while also dealing with the effects of climate change and environmental degradation.

Hailing from Thalassery and based in Cochin, Husna is a published poet and author and a dentist in training. She also holds a graduate degree in journalism and enjoys travelling and photography.
