Q1. Tell us about your book.

Ans-  We bring over three decades of leadership experience and are well-established leadership transformation coaches globally. Renowned thought leaders in people management, our expertise spans multiple industry segments, making us uniquely qualified to guide readers in discovering and developing their leadership potential.

Q2. Is there any interesting aspect behind your relationship with the subject matter?

Ans- We are nature enthusiasts.  We, a passionate adventurer who explores the natural world (Ramesh) and an avid researcher of nature’s interconnectedness with life (Baburaj), bring a unique perspective to leadership. Our deep appreciation and understanding of nature enrich our insights, as reflected in the metaphorical journey of a leaf in “The Pondering Leaf.”

Q3. What inspired you to write this book?

Ans- There are many self-help books on leadership, but we wanted to take a different approach. Instead of being prescriptive, we aimed for readers to reflect and take ownership of their process of change. Writing a research-based book in a simple, easy-to-read manner was a challenging task, but we wanted to Make a Difference (MAD) in how serious subjects are approached. Our goal was to provide a transformative experience that is both engaging and insightful.

Q4. Can you share an interesting aspect about your book?

Ans– In “The Pondering Leaf,” we delve into two powerful metaphors: the leaf and the surfer. The leaf symbolizes our personal journey of growth and introspection, while the Surfer represents a transformative process that explores six essential leadership traits—Sensitivity, Understanding, Reality, Feelings, Evolving, and Resilience. Alongside these traits, we discuss four specific mindsets crucial for personal and professional transformation: Change mindset, Decisive mindset, Relationship mindset, and Resilience mindset. These concepts collectively form the foundation for navigating challenges and achieving sustainable leadership growth.

Q5. Can you share a success story or anecdote from your coaching experience that illustrates the transformative impact of adopting the Surfer model’s principles?

Ans-  One memorable experience comes to mind where a senior executive faced a major organizational restructuring. By embracing the Surfer model’s Resilience mindset, she navigated uncertainties with courage and adaptability. Through fostering open communication and empathy within her team (Relationship mindset), she not only led her team through the transition but also fostered a culture of innovation and collaboration. Her journey exemplifies how integrating the Surfer model’s principles can lead to profound personal and organizational growth.
