Lulu Mall and Msquare Groups hosted one of its kind blood donations drive themed 'Gift of Life'

Bengaluru, June 17, 2026 : In a heartfelt demonstration of community spirit and civic responsibility, Lulu Mall Rajajinagar, Bengaluru and Msquare Groups successfully hosted a Blood Donation Camp on June 14, 2026 World Blood Donor Day at its South Atrium, commencing at 11:00 AM. The event witnessed an enthusiastic response from shoppers, mall staff, and residents of Rajajinagar and surrounding neighbourhoods, all united by a single powerful purpose: to give the gift of life.

With 200+ units of blood collected, customers also engaged themselves with the live band performance and evening filled with fun and entertainment. Aligned with the global theme of World Blood Donor Day which honours voluntary, unpaid blood donors and highlights the critical need for safe blood supplies the camp reaffirmed Lulu Mall Bengaluru's commitment to using its platform as a force for social good, beyond retail and commerce.

Blood is one of the most precious resources in modern healthcare and one that cannot be manufactured. Every two seconds, someone in India requires blood. Patients undergoing surgeries, accident victims, mothers during childbirth, and individuals battling chronic illnesses such as thalassaemia and cancer are among the millions who depend on the generosity of voluntary blood donors each year.

India faces a significant annual blood deficit, with demand consistently outpacing supply. Voluntary blood donation especially through community-level drives such as the one hosted at Lulu Mall Rajajinagar plays a decisive role in bridging this critical gap and ensuring hospitals and blood banks are adequately stocked.

The camp was strategically positioned at the mall's North Atrium to maximise public visibility and accessibility, allowing walk-in donors to participate conveniently alongside their visit to the mall. A dedicated medical team managed the donation process, ensuring the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and donor welfare throughout the day.

The response from Bengaluru's citizens was both heartening and inspiring. Donors ranged across age groups from young professionals and college students to homemakers and senior citizens all stepping forward to contribute to a cause that transcends boundaries of community, caste, and creed. Mall staff and LuLu Group employees also participated in large numbers, setting a spirited example for visitors.

First-time donors were especially welcomed and guided through the process by the medical team on site, helping dispel myths and anxieties around blood donation, and fostering a culture of regular, voluntary giving.
