SGS – Yuva Unstoppable support Shri Parshottam Rupala’s vision of Vibrant Villages

New Delhi (India), March 20: Yuva Unstoppable founder Amitabh Shah and SGS organised a delegation of philanthropists

and corporate leaders to meet and interact with Union Cabinet Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying – Shri Parshottam Rupala, on March 4, 2023, at P.G.D.A.V. Senior Secondary School, Patel Nagar, New Delhi. The interaction was arranged to mark and celebrate 4100 schools transformed by Yuva Unstoppable through its ‘School Transformation Program’. The 20-member delegation team got the opportunity to hear from the Hon’ble Minister on programs and initiatives close to his heart, government development plans that have been recently announced and how collaborative efforts will go a long way in reaching scale and impact for these plans.

One such focus plan that Shri Rupalaji brought up and discussed with Amitabh Shah’s delegation was the Government of India’s recently announced Vibrant Villages Program (VVP). The program envisages comprehensive development of villages on the Northern border that have limited connectivity & infrastructure and often get left out of the country’s progress story. The proposed financial allocation of Rs 4800 crore will create essential infrastructure and livelihood opportunities across 46 border blocks covering 4 states and 1 union territory over phases. “Improving the quality of life in these distant villages will encourage locals to stay in their native locations and remain connected to their roots and history. This will also ensure the country’s safety and economic development happens through local resources, encouragement of local art & culture, tourism and skill development & entrepreneurship for women and youth” – Shri Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying.
