Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] : In a delightful fusion of literature and fashion, pret labelHouse of Maanajoined hands with author Reeta Ramamurthy Gupta to pay tribute to her iconic Savitribai Phule biography titled “Savitribai Phule: Her Life, Her Relationships, Her Legacy.” House of Maana, a fashion house specialising in black and white creations, has released a limited edition collection of kurtis featuring Savitribai Phule’s book cover.
Bela Chitalia, Chief Designer, House of Maana, a well-known name has designed collections for several seasons for AJio, Shoppers Stop, Nykaa and Myntra for the last decade or so. Her venture into the monochromatic House of Maana is a culmination of her vast experience as a designer. She said, “ I could not resist the cover of the Savitribai Phule biography biography written by Reeta Ramamurthy Gupta. It is so tastefully designed by Harper Collins and of course, we too wanted to pay a tribute to Savitribai Phule, India’s first lady teacher.”
Speaking about the collaboration, the author Reeta Ramamurthy Gupta said, “Art in every form finds unique synergistic partners. Literature as an art form and fashion as an art form, come together in this wonderful collaboration. I am grateful for the support of Harper Collins and House of Maana.”
